Its been a long time since my last post

Its been a long time since my last post. I believe I wanted to write about programming for my next post when I wrote my last post in July.

I have wanted to learn how to program for years though I have not made any programs on my own. And I switch programming languages all the time. At least I used to switch programming languages all the time. Right now I want to learn how to program in python. I have no idea if I can every become a competent programmer. I can try though.

I like the idea of programming though I seem to not want to put the work in to achieve my goal.  I mean thinking about something like Assembly language programming get me excited but, I don't program everyday so I can't get good enough to find out if programming is something I like. I might be able to write programs but the way I am going I will never know. And I want to know. So I need to get working. I can do to.

I hope to write another post tomorrow.

I need to programs and make 3d models everyday

I need to write programs and make 3d models everyday. Of course I said I wanted to blog everyday and that did not happen. Although the past few days I have blogged everyday. If I can enter sweepstakes everyday I can blog, program and work with blender everyday.

For it seems like years I have been obsessed with more like worry about the fact that I spend a lot of time in front of my computer. Just worrying about wasting my life in front of the screen. And you know thinking about that makes me miserable. I just wanted to get up and run away from my computer until recently.

What started all that, me thinking about wanted to get away from my computer in a hurry was reading about other people who did not like sitting in from of their computer. Stories about someone quitting facebook, or the Internet stuff like that. And I thought maybe I should quit the Internet too. I would think about that stuff a lot when I was in front of my computer. I was wasting my time thinking about stuff like that because I never did anything about it, like quitting the Internet or spending less time in front of my computer.

Then recently I don't worry so much about the things mentioned above. I think what started me not worrying about sitting in front of my computer so much was when I thought I like programming and I want to make computer programs. Something like that probably. I would say its that I stated thinking that I could not say I had done everything in like if I did not learn how to make computer programs or give it my best shot at learning hot to make programs. I am not sure I will every make any good 3d models or any good programs, I might as well try so though so I can say to myself that I get my best effort and if I fail at least I can be sure that I gave it my all.

Zaz 965 Model

I started making this 3d model of a Zaz 965 probably at the beginning of 2011. It took me a long time to get what you see in the pictures. Which is why I did not finish the model. I am happy that the Zaz looks like a car although it could be a little smoother. I don't think its that bad for my 3rd or 4th almost finished car model.

I hope to make may cars

I hope to make many cars using blender. I think it would be cool if I could make a car a day and put it on my blog. I don't think that will ever happen. I will try to make as may cars as I can though. I need the practice. After all I have been using blender for years off and on and I have make almost nothing. I am just waiting for the day when I know enough to make something. Well I need to just get making models. Cars are cool.

Lets see what else do I have to write about. I need to get to stop writing this post and get to work that what I need to do. I need to see results, results, results.

So as I was saying in my last post

So as I was saying in my last post I want to make computer programs that do something this year. I think programming languages are great. I like to try every programming language I hear about. Of course I never get more advanced then learning how to program hello world in most of the programming languages but, its fun playing around. It would be even more fun if I could make a program that does something in every programming language I try. I would like to be I can't remember the persons name but, he want to learn a programming language a week and write a programming in the language he learned. Just awesome.

I want to learn python first because I can use it with blender. Hopefully I will learn it. I mean at the rate I am going if I don't learn python now I probably never will. And now I will repeat myself. I want to learn how to program a computer so I better do it because there is no time like the present. I will make programs. I don't know what they meaning the programs will do but, I will make them.

computer programming

For years I have wanted to become a computer programmer. I want to make real programs that I can use. I have not made any useful programs yet though. This is the year I make a game or something. Of course I said that last year and the year before and the year before that. You get the idea. To be continued... Right now I need to get away from my computer.

The first CG car I almost finished

Below is a pictures of a Chevy Camaro I made. It does not look pretty, you can tell its a car though.

I could have finished the car if it did not take me so long to model it. After what seemed like a month working on it I wanted to move on to other things. I was also probably upset that no amount of work on my part would ever make the Camaro look good.

I like to make 3d vehicles

One thing I enjoy modeling with blender are vehicles. Cars and Motorcycles are the only types of vehicles I have attempted to make. So I need to get to modeling.

The first car I ever attempted to make was a Volkswagen new beetle. I don't remember the car turning out well, I never got close to finishing the car.

I don't remember making any cars for a long time after attempting to make that beetle. The reason I did not model cars for so long was that I thought that the blueprints that I use for modeling the cars had to be lined up perfectly from all the angles; front, side, top. And I could not get them to lined up, so I when I tried to make a car I got upset and did not get a my model stated. Now I don't worry if the blueprints are lined up perfectly, I try to get them lined up as good as I can and start modeling the car.

The first car that I made that looked like a car was a Chevy Camaro, I did not finish it. It took me so long to make the model that I got tired of it and wanted to move on to something else, so I did. I have stated other cars since then and even finished two.

I have also tried to make a Suzuki street bike. I had a blast working on the motorcycle. Someday I want to finish it.  

I am a dreamer

By saying I am a dreamer I mean that I want to do things like: start a blog, make animations, become a computer programmer. I have tried to do those three things off and on for years now. I have stated a few blogs, they were not very good blogs, made a few animations from tutorials, and read a few computer programming books. I have not made much progress on those dreams.

So I hope by setting a goal to blog everyday or every other day it will force me to improve my writing, programming, and 3d modeling, after all I will need something to write about. Then I will be a person who does things instead of someone who dreams about doing things.

I want to post everyday or every other day

Fist thing though, the headline of my last post was Wow, The my last blog post was in February. Now that does not make sense, why did I not leave out the The. Why, why, I have no idea. Now its time to move on.

In my last post I said I wanted to write a post once a week or so well I think that in order for me to keep posting on my blog regularly I need to post every other day or once a day. I am sure that I will go back on my goal. Why not make the goal though, I need a goal. 

Wow, The my last blog post was in February

I want to update this blog more than once every couple of months. I would update it everyday if I thought I had anything interesting to write about. I could update my blog everyday even if I don't have anything to write interesting to write, its my blog after all. And it doesn't cost anything to update it. Though I am sure my updates will not be exciting. I will try to update at least once a week. If I said once a day I know it would not happen and I would look like a fool, in front of no one but, myself because I am the only person who reads this blog, hopefully.

One more thing I want to say is I hope no one ever reads the other blog I have on blogger. Its horrible, I sound like such a winier. I go on and on about what I want to do and never do anything. Its just what I want to do, and I end up doing nothing, its just talk. I want this blog to be different I want to actually make programs and animations or renders and talk about them on this blog. I also hope to write some sweepstakes entries.

pharo

I heard about smalltalk in a book called dealers of lightning. I thought its history and name were cool so I looked it up with a search engine and found squeak. I did not know smalltalk still existed so I was excited. It seemed so different than other programming languages.

That was 3+ years ago. Between then and now I have read squeak by example once but, never really learned smalltalk or made anything other than the project in the book. Then a year ago I heard about Pharo.

With pharo I read pharo by example and a few chapters of the seaside book on the seaside website. I have not made anything with pharo either.

I said in my last post I want to make a website using php. I also want to make one with seaside. Of course I say I want to do a lot of things and never accomplish my goals.

First up Lean to build a website

A few days ago I wrote about my programming dreams and today I want to talk about what I want to learn first. I want to make my own website even though I don't have anything to put on the website. I want to make it using html 5, css, javascript, php, and mysql.

So with that in mind yesterday I started reading diveintohtml5. I have read some of dive into html 5 before and never finished reading it but, I want this time to be different. I know I can finish reading it if I put my mind to it. Its either now or never.

As for not having anthing to put on a website, I hope I will think of something.

1960 Ac Ace 3d model

I believe this is a Ac Ace. It looks good does it not. OK so it could use a little work, most of it is smooth, though. And the interior is not so great because I was anxious to get the model finished. Same with the tires where I used the wheels and tires that I made for the 1966 427 Ac Cobra. I thought making the wire wheels for this car would be to hard to make too.

This is a 1966 Ac Cobra 427 3d car model I made last year. I just noticed that you can't see the car very well, oops. It took me probably about a month maybe two months to make. Anyway it took longer to make than I though it should have. But it came out OK.

17-10 Green Bay packers Win

I have not kept up with football this year but, I want to make a prediction on the winner of super bowl XLV. Its a tough call because both team are solid. As I see it the steelers have a great defense and a strong running game. The packers have a great passing offense and solid defense. Usually I would say great defense beats great offense almost every time but, I think that the green bay packers will win 17-10 because Aaron Rodgers is having a great post season and I think that will carry over to the super bowl, though Pittsburgh's defense will keep the game close. I hope its a great game. I wish I were watching the super bowl while sitting on one of these Leather Swivel Recliners.

Model maker wannabe

A 3d model maker wannabe that is what I want to be. I get so excited when I watch movies like Transformers, Cars, Ratatouille, The Incredibles that I wish I was able to make 3d models. It just seems so exciting. I have fantasy's about making great car models or models of castles, motorcycles, or planes.

Then reality hits when I realize that I am going to have to put in a lot of work to make stuff that looks like those movies and how far away I am from making anything decent. In that way my modeling is just like my programming, I have big dreams but, nothing to show for those dreams.

I can't remember the exact date when I found out about blender. I would say it was about four years ago. The first edition of blender I used was 4.2. It was amazing to me that I could get a program that made 3d models for free. Heck, before I learned about blender I did not know what a 3d model was. I never even considered how video games were made.

Most of those 4 years with blender have been spent reading the blender documentation on blender.org, reading blender noob to pro, reading blender basics and some other tutorials. It alternates mostly between reading the blender documentation and blender noob to pro. I just keep going around in circles, round and round, and never seeming to progress. Then I worry about not making progress so I vow to use blender everyday but, then I stop using blender everyday. It all goes round and round like I said.

Its like I think I need to know how to use every feature of blender and then I can make the 3d models I want to make. Some day I will be good enough. I have made models, but they are not the quality or quality that I want them to be. As for animations I have made only two or three. So I have accomplished something but, I want to do more.

My first almost completed 3d car model

This is my fist nearly completed 3d car model. It was completed on march 23 2009. I though I must have finished it last year and then I looked at the name of the picture witch said 2009. I don't have much to show for almost two years. I have only completed two more cars besides this one in that time.

The model took me about a month to get it to the point in the picture. It felt like forever. It looks like a car but, the model could be a lot smoother.

On the wheels and tires I did a terrible job. I was in a hurry to get the car completed so I could move on to the next model I wanted to make. I needed to take more time on that part of the model.

As for materials and textures I just wanted to call the model was finished and move on to something else.

Programming dreams not yet realized

I have experimented with many programming languages. I see a programming language and want to install the compiler on my computer and write some programs. I get the first part accomplished, I install the compiler, as to the second part I am lacking. I don't know how to design my own programs.

One problem as I see it is that I want to program in lots of languages. I want to think to myself wow look at all the programming languages I know how to use. About a year ago I saw an article on dzone about a programmer who was learning a programming language a week. I want to be able to do that myself. I can't though because I don't know how to design anything. Well I could design a program, it would not do anything interesting though.

When I say experimented with lots of programming languages I mean I am able to write hello world in those programming languages. I may have gotten a little further in some languages, not much though. I alway hopes of leaning more but, those hopes fizzled after a week or so, then I would switch to another programming language. That has not gotten me very far.

Every day, if not everyday it seems like everyday, I daydream about someday writing my own computer programs. But the future could be now if I stop dreaming and start doing. I won't wake up someday and start designing computer programs. I will start making programs now. If I fail so what. I don't want to look back on my life and say, I wish I learned how to program. I want to be a computer programmer today, right now. Now I need to get out there and start making programs. Go, go, go.

I want to be a better blogger.

I have started two blogs and both were horrible. When I started my first blog Machineinstructions in 2008 I had a big dream. That dream was that I would become a popular blogger and make millions of dollars. By the time I started my second blog Mr. boring I knew that the big blogger on the block was not me.

Macineinstructions was the first blog I started. I had always wanted to write a blog but, never had the courage to start one, I thought I might get sued for taking some writing, because I like to worry about things. But then one day I decided to write about sweepstakes like a blog I saw called Lucky sweeper, I was off. I thought now I have an idea for a blog. I wrote about my sweepstakes wins, my programming and my adventures in making 3d models. It was terrible. I had nothing to say. I wrote nothing interesting.

Mr. Boring was my second blog it was not much of a blog, I posted three posts on that blog. I wanted to write about the 3d models I made. I did not make any 3d models so I had nothing to write about. Mr. Boring was Boring.

So here I am today. I still don't have anything to say. I am still boring. I don't think I have given blogging all I can though. I want to be a blogger even if I am a bad blogger.

The reason for Sweep Animate

Hello and welcome to my new blog called Seep Animate. I hope I did not misspell sweep animate. The reason I decided to start this blog is that I want to write about my hobbies: entering sweepstakes and 3d animation.

First off for the sweepstakes I want this blog so I can get more entries into the blog sweepstakes I enter. I have been entering sweepstakes since about September 2007. I have won over 100+ times. To sum up I am a average sweeper.

As for the animation I have not accomplished much. I have only one animation made in about 3 years. I need to get going on the animations otherwise it will be over 200 years old before I make my third animation.

On this blog I also want to talk about computer programming. Right now I want to learn python so I can use it with blender. I wanted to write that I like programming but, how do I know I have never made my own programs. I have big dreams and nothing to show for it.
